CEO & 2nd Generation Lionheart, Prince Lionheart, Inc.

BCM: If you could describe motherhood in one word, what would it be?

KM: Forever.

BCM: What’s one moment in your motherhood journey that has made you proud?

KM: When my son said his family was the thing he valued most in his young life. I must admit, in that moment, I kinda felt like I was on the right track with raising him… probably lasted a moment, but we’ve got to hold onto those moments!

BCM: What is one piece of advice you want to pass along to your children?

KM:  Attitude. It’s the one thing we get to choose each day and HAPPY is easiest and most fun.

BCM: Congratulations on all of the success with Prince Lionheart! What is your inspiration when deciding what’s next for the brand?

KM:  I find that my own kids and their growing interests/challenges inspire me. Also, as I get older and see how the world is changing, not always for the better, I try to find some feel good factor in how we can leave the world a better place through what we choose to do with Prince Lionheart.

BCM: What new and exciting things do we have to look forward to from Price Lionheart?

KM: Lots! It’s a very exciting time.  We are thinking outside the box as well as continuing with line extensions for Prince Lionheart. Watch this space!

BCM: What is one piece of advice you would pass along to other parents?

KM:  Go easy on yourself.  We all have mom-guilt, but we’re also our own harshest critics.

BCM: How do you tackle work/life balance?

KM: Well, as I am running out of the office, late for school pick up, I tell my staff that I am off to collect my MOM of THE YEAR AWARD for peeling into the parking lot last-ish.  I’m usually not noticeably late to anyone but my kid, but he’s the one who matters most! I must get better, but duty calls here at the office and it is important to me to always pick him up from school, so it is what it is right now.

BCM: If you could hand off one chore to someone else each day, what would it be?

KM: Cleaning out the garage. No thanks.

BCM: wHAT is your favorite thing to do to relax and unwind?

KM: Take a bath and flip through a mindless magazine, like People, or sit by the fire with my fiancé and a nice glass of red.

BCM: What is your best parenting hack?

KM:  Using dinner prep as “me time”, said the consummate multi-tasker.

BCM: What was the last book you read?

KM: I can’t remember the title, but it was good. It was a well-researched novel so I went on a journey and learned a thing or two about Asperger’s Syndrome too!

BCM: What is the best white lie that you’ve told your child?

KM: I don’t lie – not even the white ones - ‘cause I gave birth to an old soul who’d see right through me.
