BCM: If you could describe motherhood in one word, what would it be?
BCM: What’s one moment in your motherhood journey that has made you proud?
LL: Hmm although we have wild boys, there are so many :) I recently had a special moment with our 6 year old Brody (all 3 boys were around)-
After a hard/emotional day of ezpz legal bs, I hugged Brody and said "ugh, sorry boys to be stressed & working so much, I feel like quitting" Brody replied "mom, you've taught us that you can do anything you put your mind to and quitting is the worst! You need to keep fighting to get the bad guys". That was a proud mom moment for sure.
BCM: What is one piece of advice you want to pass along to your children?
LL: Always be kind & never give up. We have proven, with hard work, you can do anything you put your mind to!
BCM: Congratulations on all of the success of ezpz. What inspired you to create the amazing Happy Mat?
LL: Our life; the story is cliche, but one night during a messy dinner with our 3 boys, Brad had the idea for ezpz. A great summary, along with more about the ezpz journey can be found here.
BCM: We love how easy the Happy Mat is. What new and exciting things do you have coming up for the brand?
LL: We have SO much innovation coming up at ezpz. Late 2016 we launched our first book, Making Mealtime ezpz; Fun Ways To Full the Happy Mat + our newly redesigned Play Mat. Along with new colors (nordic inspired line early 2017,) we also have new products in the works + much more.
BCM: What is one piece of advice you would pass along to other parents?
LL: Do what works for you/your family & follow your gut. You got this.
BCM: How do you tackle work/life balance?
LL: I don't. I work too much and have a great support network to help with the rest. The best part of ezpz (outside of legal) is that it doesn't feel like work. I am blessed to work with my best friends and so fortunate that my family is part of ezpz.
BCM: If you could hand off one chore to someone else each day, what would it be?
LL: All cooking/housekeeping but cleaning the toilets specifically.
BCM: wHAT is your favorite thing to do to relax and unwind?
LL: Watch documentaries solo (preferably laying in bed)
BCM: What is your best parenting hack?
BCM: What was the last book you read?
LL: Pillars of the Earth by Ken Follet + the sequal- about 10 years ago #loser
BCM: What is the best white lie that you’ve told your child?
LL: Do NOT crawl out of the crib because really bad things will happen (specifics omitted).
Favorite Beauty Product:
LL: Bare Mineral powder/bronzer is pretty much the only beauty product I own.
Favorite Form of Exercise:
LL: None #hasbeen. I used to work out and actually played soccer in college, but since having Chase/Drew + ezpz, working out is a thing of the past. One day, one day....
What is on your DVR?
LL: Documentaries, but I long to have more time to watch them. :)
LL: hmmmm. Not sure, I'm such a loser.
Favorite Kids Store:
LL: Nordstrom's kids dept. play area (duh) + ezpz mats can be purchased while kids play and mom shops.
