BCM - How did your life change when you became a mom?
Marnie-
As a working mom, Ifound that I was running home and so excited
to see my son Spencer. Pre-baby I tended to always go out, workout after work, meet friends for dinner. Now –I have a standing date with Spencer.
BCM- What has been your most memorable moment as a mom?
Marnie -
When my son was born and held him for the very first time—his big, brown eyes were starring right at me and knew it was true love the very first minute.
BCM- What has been the biggest challenge for you in motherhood?
Marnie -
The weekends now are really not about relaxing—it’s about non-stop action, activities and errands. Plus, trying to fit everything in over 2 days is tough.
BCM- What activities do you like to do with your son and why?
Marnie -
I really love taking walks with my son—he constantly talks and asks what things are and actually has a lot of pep in his step so can make good time walking with him on the city streets.
BCM- How do you manage your work/life balance? Any advice for new moms?
Marnie -
I think establishing a routine is key. I have found that dinner, bath and a set bedtime—help create balance
BCM- What are your favorite “Mom Essentials” and why?
Marnie - I found the Tiny Love stroller mobile to be a lifesaver. It kept my little one calm and occupied.
BCM- What is the best advice you received about being a mom?
Marnie - Every baby/child is different—so what works for one may not work for another and that’s OK
BCM-If you could give another mom or expectant mom one piece of advice, what would it be?
Marnie - Make sure you have or register for an umbrella stroller—it is so great to run errands, it’s light and maneuvers well in/out of stores.
BCM - What is your favorite new mom/baby product?
Marnie - Oxi Clean Spray-a-way…for spills/stains on the go (can throw in your purse, diaper bag) Saves a lot of white tees.
