I am proud to call myself a home cook. Enamored by all things food related, cooking is my ultimate passion.

I come from a very creative and artistic family. With my strong background in fashion design and illustration, I wanted to connect cooking with my art. After working in the fashion industry for several years, it was time to focus full time on cooking and switch careers. Luckily, I was able to run the kitchen at a local coffee house shortly after I began my blog, I Want That For Dinner. My next job was working as a pastry chef for a top kosher catering company in New York. This is where the professional cooking began!

Currently, I am a mother to a beautiful baby girl and wife to a handsome hungry husband. My goal is to prepare easy gourmet dinners, while often literally juggling my baby. Please virtually join me in my kitchen with delicious, healthy and simple dishes that your whole family can enjoy!

As a stay at home mother, having the time to eat a good meal gets surpassed daily. I needed some protein to run around with my sweet daughter. Unfortunately, I tend to grab some form of processed foods for my snacks. By the end of the day I am exhausted! To regain my energy, I created this delicious low carb "snack" of sweet potato fries.

Easy appetizer for the high holidays!

 We are mere hours away from the Jewish New Year- Rosh Hashanah. This is a very important holiday! A new year, a new beginning and a time of reflection. Best part about the holiday? It is customary to eat sweet foods to bring a sweet new year. As a pastry chef I get excited when it is a custom to have sweet food. Heck, as a woman I get excited when it is custom to eat sweet food! However as a nursing mother, I have to be cautious what I am eating, and make sure it is healthy. This is where my sweet and savory chef side comes into play.
